Projects & Workmanship

The clearest way to judge a panel shop is to look inside the enclosure. These are panels built in our West Jordan shop.

01 Representative project

Wastewater Thickener Control Panel

A custom industrial control panel built to operate and monitor a thickener system used in water and wastewater treatment. The panel supports both local operation and remote control through the facility’s SCADA system.

Project type
Water and wastewater equipment control panel.
Scope
Control-panel fabrication, wiring, labeling, equipment protection, alarm functions, and SCADA interface connections.
Control features
Local, off, and remote operating modes; SCADA run commands; equipment interlocks; high-torque warning and shutdown protection; overload monitoring; alarm horn and warning light controls; and remote operating-status signals.
Documentation
Electrical schematics and panel documentation provided for installation, testing, troubleshooting, and future maintenance.
UL
Built and labeled in accordance with UL 508A requirements.
Testing
Panel wiring, alarms, interlocks, and control functions tested before delivery.
Outcome
A fully documented control panel that provides reliable local and remote operation, protects the equipment from overload and high-torque conditions, and communicates critical operating and alarm information to the facility’s SCADA system.
Why local and remote both have to work A thickener has to be operable at the panel during startup and maintenance, and controllable from SCADA the rest of the time. The local / off / remote scheme keeps those two modes from fighting each other, while the interlocks and high-torque protection guard the equipment in either one.
Completed stainless steel control panel standing open in the shop with a red warning light on top, a drawing pocket inside the door, and a subpanel of relays, circuit protection and terminal blocks.
